Guest Tattoo Artists

We love hosting artists from all over the world. If you’re interested in guesting at our shop, we’d love to hear from you.

Our tattoo studio is a place of community, respect, and good energy. Whether you’re passing through, or looking to set up a longer guest spot, we’re always open to connecting with like-minded artists.

What We offer

Our shop is centrally located in Denver, CO. The space is large, open, and full of natural light, with exposed brick, skylights, and employee parking.

Guest artists work in a professional, well-supported environment. We offer front desk coverage along with setup and breakdown help four days a week.

We provide most disposables, and will have a table and stool. If you need anything else, please let us know and we will try to get it for you, or are happy to have you ship things to us. Upon inquiring, you will get a full updated list of provded supplies. We highly recommend any international artists ship their machine and equipment to be extra safe.

Booth rent for guests is a day rate of $100 each day worked. We do not work on percentage.

We’re a queer-owned shop that values inclusivity, respect, and community. Beyond tattooing, we host art nights, flash days, classes, and other events that give guest artists opportunities be a part of the larger creative community while they’re here, if they’d like!

How to Inquire

Send an email to FolkValaStudio@gmail.com.

Please include your Instagram handle, website, and a little blurb about yourself.

Details like scheduling, and length of stay are handled case by case and discussed once we connect. Response times may vary, but we do read every inquiry.

What We Look for

We pride ourselves in being inclusive, and expect our guests to follow suit. We offer a calm environment for our clients, and would love artists who value the same thing. We look for someone with a strong portfolio, and who has experience working in a shop previously. If you have references, even better! We require every artist to show us an up-to-date BBP certification, as well as be licensed in Denver to tattoo (it’s an easy process, ask us if you need help with it).
